HAPPY #fashionwednesday!! A few weeks ago, I went into a local shop in St. Louis called Lacy Coe and fell IN. LOVE. with this sherpa jacket. I have been seeing them ALL over stores and the internet lately. I am obsessed with anything soft and fuzzy – and these jackets have such amazing silhouettes with any outfit PLUS it’s insanely warm. It’s starting to get so cold here and I hate sacrificing warmth for style. I also feel like this is a style that won’t quickly go out of fashion so it’ll be a piece you can wear over and over.

The Fall/Winter Staple YOU NEED: The Sherpa Jacket

HOW TO STYLE:

I like to wear fitted shirts or thinner sweaters with my jacket because it’s SO puffy. You definitely can wear it with a heavier sweater, but I feel very bulky when I do that. This particular outfit I wore my black turtleneck with boyfriend jeans and black booties. The black booties perfectly complimented my turtleneck and the boyfriend jeans helped the outfit look more dressed down and perfect for a day out to the park!

I ALSO have worn this sherpa jacket with my favorite mustard colored sweater (you can see it here), flare jeans and my snakeskin booties! It was a LOOK and I got tons of compliments on it worn that way, too. The sweater isn’t very thick, and I did a half tuck so it had a bit of structure compared to the slouchy jacket. I liked the way the flare jeans I styled with it were fitted all the way to my knee because that added the needed structure to the bottom half of the outfit as well.

The third way I like to wear this is with body con dresses! I wore it with this dress to church on Sunday and LOVED IT. The dress is a long sleeved maroon dress that is very fitted all the way to my knees. I wore cute little booties with it and topped it with the sherpa jacket. I had bold gold jewelry to go with it (because the dress itself is pretty plain) and the whole thing went so well together.

I love that I can wear this jacket with a super casual style, a bit more dressy brunch-type outfit OR with a fitted dress to something fancier. It works in ALL scenarios and it’s already a well-loved repeat in my closet. You can buy the EXACT sherpa jacket I’m wearing HERE (but it’s currently sold out in small – so only medium and large are available).

For size reference: I am 5’6 and 130lbs.

Have you jumped on the sherpa jacket bandwagon yet?? What are your thoughts? I personally LOVE it – and plan on wearing this jacket until it falls apart on me. I love that I could wear it in the fall and it’ll still transition perfectly into the winter.

  1. You look super adorable in this Sherpa jacket! I don’t even have one yet and been looking into getting one!❤️

  2. Sherpa/teddy coats are my new obsession for this season. I finally got my first one recently, and now all my other coats are sitting in the back of my closet so sad that they’re not being used haha. But I just love how cozy these kinds of jackets are!
