JULY 2019 MONTHLY OBSESSIONS
Happy FRI-YAY! It’s the last Friday of the best month of my life! We welcomed baby Jack into the world July 9th and it’s been a TOTAL whirlwind since then. Very little sleep, late nights, breastfeeding and lots of dirty diapers are what July consisted of for us, but there were still a few things that stood out for me this month as total wins in my favorites department. Let’s dive into this.
JULY 2019 MONTHLY OBSESSIONS
Nursing Tops from Amazon
I did a whole IGTV try on haul with all of my favorite nursing tops I’ve purchased from Amazon recently. None of them are “nursing” specifically, but they are all button ups and work EXCELLENTLY for nursing. I’ve worn all of them now and haven’t had a single issue nursing Jack on the go in them. Plus they are all under $30.
PopChips BBQ Potato Crisps
I tried these out last month when I was testing them for my Fourth of July blog post and ended up becoming OBSESSED with this flavor. I love BBQ chips, but these are even better AND they are healthier for you.
Target Matching PJ Sets
I talked about these in my post this week about my new mom comfy clothes! They have been GREAT for postpartum recovery, insanely soft and they didn’t break the bank. I love the matching set. Plus, when people come over I don’t feel like I look like a total mess.
Boppy Newborn Lounger + Nursing Lounger
These have been FABULOUS for Jack. I love the newborn lounger for when he is wide awake but doesn’t want to be all by himself in his crib (plus I love looking at his little face – I don’t want him to be all alone in his crib either). It has saved us when he wakes up right at dinner time. The nursing lounger is something Adam and I both use every day for feedings. It helps me get the right angle for his little head when nursing, and gives Adam somewhere to put his arms to hold the baby while bottle feeding breastmilk!
Flesh Beauty Hot Sauce Lipgloss in 310
This lipgloss is one of my new favorites. It’s not tingly like I thought it would be (hot sauce) and it’s REALLY smooth on the lips. It has a beautiful glossy finish that I have had a hard time finding something to compare it too! It lasts a long time and it fades super nicely, without that weird white line you somethings get on the inside of your lips.
#100DAYSOFMAKEUP Kick Off
This week kicked off 2019’s #100daysofmakeup challenge!! It’s my favorite time of year. I’ve been prepping for months for this year’s looks. I pre-did a TON of looks because I knew Jack would be born around the time it started this year and I didn’t want to stress myself out. I’ve got so many great looks coming for this year. Be sure to follow along on my instagram and facebook page to catch the giveaways and daily looks!
Square Nails with Gel Polish
I used to like my nails super rounded, but these days I have been LOVING the look of short square nails with glossy gel polish. It looks so classy and sophisticated and it looks good with EVERY color of nail polish.
The Mud House in STL
I have been loving this yummy restaurant!! They make the BEST grilled cheese and BLT, plus it’s in a cute neighborhood in St. Louis and isn’t outrageously priced.
Physicians Formula Coconut Milk Eye Makeup Remover
This is the only makeup remover that actually takes off my waterproof makeup without pulling out every one of my eyelashes. I was wearing waterproof mascara for days before my induction just in case I went into labor and I didn’t want to have mascara running down my face.
Jack’s Handmade Baby Blanket
A sweet friend from church made Jack the most BEAUTIFUL baby blanket when he was born and I am SO in love with it. It is so soft and the perfect little baby size. It’s absolutely perfect for Jack.
Now that #100daysofmakeup has kicked off – more of my monthly obsessions will likely be new makeup products I’m trying out so if you have been missing my new makeup favorites, they are coming back! I just have been wearing super minimal makeup because of that #newmomlife.
What products have been your favorite this month?!
