Black Friday Ulta Haul
Well, pretty people, Black Friday has come and gone. I hope you spent all of your money and that you were able to Christmas shop (even if it was shopping for yourself). I was able to finish all my shopping for my family — HUGE success — and pick up some of my all time favorites during my Black Friday Ulta Haul. I like to keep my makeup bag full during the holidays. 😉 I even snagged a few brand new items to see how they measure up against my tried and true pieces. Hopefully this post introduces you to some new brands that you can’t wait to try. 🙂 Keep your eye out for Christmas deals in December so you can pick up these babies on SALE!
Black Friday Ulta Haul
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Carmello & Beso
So, not too long ago, I wrote a post about my favorite kiss-proof lipsticks (check it out here) and I think I need to edit that and throw this lipstick in there. Stila seriously outdid themselves. Pretty certain I am super late to the party on this, but I am glad I at least showed up! I wore it all day, ate, kissed, laughed, drank my weight in eggnog…and it never budged once. I love that the color is super opaque because that means you only need to throw on one coat. I have the colors Carmello (peachy nude) and Beso (true, blue-toned red).
Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Light
I talked about this concealer in my favorites video (watch it here) and it seemed only natural that I mention it again here. If you haven’t heard about this concealer yet, you may have been living under a rock. It has been getting a crazy amount of hype from youtubers everywhere and for good reason. This concealer covers my eye bags like it doesn’t even have to try. It does crease or settle in my lines so I call that a win.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black
This has been my go-to liner for years. I love it. It goes on opaque and glossy and dries completely matte. It is waterproof, so even when I cried ugly tears during the Gilmore Girls Revival, my wings were still flying high. The tip is so sharp you could probably cut a man and that is exactly what I look for in an eyeliner.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
This is one of my favorite brow products (of the three that I use). I really like it because the tip is so tiny that is easily creates little hair-like lines when filling your brows so you don’t end up with one block of color for eyebrows. It has a really nice spoolie on the end to blend and it is the perfect shade. They have so many shades that it won’t be hard to find one that matches.
Becca Creme Illuminator in Moonstone
I was excited for this but ended up being a little disappointed, honestly. I love creme highlighters because I feel like they stand out more and I like to layer powder over creme to get a glow that would make a glazed donut jealous. While the packaging is beautiful (all of Becca packaging is), it was really hard to blend out and it wasn’t quite a poppin’ as a girl would have hoped for. I’ll still use it, and I’ll just layer it, but there are definitely better products out there.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe
Y’all know this is my jam. It makes an appearance in every makeup tutorial I’ve ever done and it’s just generally amazing. I love that it is so easy to use. It can be easy to over-do though, too. I figured since my current dipbrow is literally days from it’s death, I needed to snag another one. Luckily, even though this is a little pricey, one pot lasted me almost an entire year. 11 months, to be exact, I believe, and I use it every single day. Like a lot of it.
Benefit Gimme Brow in Shade 3
Benefit recently changed all their packaging so I had Gimme Brow before in Light/Medium. I wanted to check out the new formula and so I picked up the new stuff in Shade 3. I think my old one was closer to shade 1 (it comes in shades 1, 3 & 5). It was a little darker but I don’t actually mind because my roots are crazy at the moment so it matches. LOL. I also like the dark eyebrow look. It is easy to apply and if you already have nicely shaped brows, you probably only need to use this brow product to look on point (do the kids still say that anymore..? Have I dated myself…?)
TooFaced Melted Matte Limited Edition Shade Candy Cane
If you have been around for a while, you will know that I am obsessed with Melted Liquid Lipsticks. I have like 7 or 8 now I am pretty sure. Regardless. That obvs means I need more to complete my collection. This is my newest edition and I am already in love. This is their Limited Edition Holiday Shade in “Candy Cane”. It is a bright reddish-pink shade that smells exactly like peppermint and chocolate. What I’m saying is I actually want to continually lick my lips because it smells SO GOOD. The formula is amazing and it is going to be perfect for upcoming holiday parties. #stoked.
THIS ONE IS SOLD OUT — but check out 2017’s TooFaced Limited Edition lippie “Gingerbread” HERE.
Urban Decay Partial False Lashes
I like a semi-natural look when it comes to falsies so I lovelovelove demi lashes. Demi lashes are false lashes that only go on the outer corner of your eye. They are perfect for when you want to plump up your lashes but avoid looking like you are about to perform on broadway. I prefer them to full lashes (although I still love those) and they stay really well. These ones are nice because they are fluttery and accentuate the almost shape of the eye.
Well blondies, I hope you enjoyed this post and found some new products you want to try. I keep meaning to pick up the Modern Renaissance palette but I asked for it for Christmas so I guess I will wait and see if Santa brings it to me before buying it. 🙂
What did you pick up from Ulta this Black Friday?? I want to know!
I adore you guys! Thanks for stopping by!
