Happy FRI-YAY! Can you even believe it’s already time for another monthly obsessions post? I can’t. May FUH-LEW by, tbh. These posts have quickly become my favorite posts of the month and I am SO excited to share all my favorite things with you today. There are SO many products I’ve been setting aside for this post and I had the hardest time narrowing it down to my 10 favs. If you are new to my monthly obsessions posts – every month I collect ten of my absolute FAVORITE things from the month and share them with you! They don’t have to be fashion or beauty, but they can be. Lots of times they are even things like my favorite foods, electronics and more. Anything and everything is fair game for these monthly installments. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing and shooting! Let’s dive into this.
Ok this is totally ridiculous but I actually love pineapples and life is cruel because I can’t eat them. I am super allergic to them and it was a late-in-life allergy so I know how much I love them and can’t eat them. AHAHHA. #what BUT just because I can’t eat them doesn’t mean I can’t wear the crap out of them. I lovelovelovelove how precious pineapples look on everything so here I am. I am kind of cheating with my 10-item rule because I included 4 items with this one but I can make my own rules so I say it’s allowed. This fun pineapple cup (perf for those poolside margs – or in my case, virgin mojitos) is only $12, these sunnies are only $7 and these cute earrings are less than $50!!
This is the last one I’m cheating on I swear. I love palms, though. I affectionately refer to them as my “palmies”. They’re so dang cute. Even my computer background is palm leaves. This purse is a Target steal and this necklace was featured in this weeks #fashionwednesday post!! ALSO this dress is one of THE MOST comfortable t shirt dresses I have ever worn. It’s so stretchy and wonderful and flattering. See it in action here and shop it here.
I HAVE BEEN TOTALLY SLEEPING ON THIS MASCARA FOR WAY TOO LONG WTH. I got this mascara in my $63 bag from Tarte and I’m not really certain why it took me so long to jump on the band wagon? The bristles perfect grab every one of my lashes and it is BEYOND perfect for lower lashes especially. I love how black the formula is and it doesn’t clump or flake. AKA: win win win. I’m pretty dang picky with my mascaras so this was a shock for me. Catch my genuine first impression reaction here.
THESE ARE SO FUN AND ADORABLE. I love them love them love them. I’ve already raved about them in this blog post, so I won’t bore you, but just suffice it to say – if you are looking for a pair of slides to rock all summer long, that won’t give you blisters and will go with everything you own, these are it. Look no further. Your search stops here. Splurge a little and grab yourself a pair here. Shop below and check out a few of my more affordable favorites:
Ok so just gonna brag on my bff here for a second: Erica is kind of a wizard when it comes to music apparently and she makes the world’s best playlists. No lie. I have been playing these both on repeat while I work the last few months and it is the perfect music to get me into the mood to GET SHIZ DONE. My favorite notable mentions: Mad World from Riverdale, Many The Miles by Sara Bareilles, Issues/Million Reasons by Kaya May, Have It All by Jason Mraz, 1950 by King Princess and Never Be The Same by Camila Cabello. If you need music to kick your tush into gear – these are the playlists you need in your life.
Ok hear me out. Remember those press on nails you wore in junior high that lasted all of 12 minutes and looked so cheesy and cheap? These are NOT those. Press on nails have really upped their game and they look almost exactly like the real deal now. I go in depth with a full at-home manicure tutorial HERE but I’ve been loving the nails that are already decorated so all I have to do is press and go. I’ve been wearing my current set for about 6 days now, and they look just as good as new. While I still love getting my nails done (obviously – who doesn’t?), these are great in a pinch and last a decent amount of time. Shop all of Target’s Kiss products here.
This is SO amazing. My mama and I have been filling these out together and I’ve really been noticing a different in my overall attitude. I have had some anxiety issues I’ve been battling, and making sure I work on this journal every night and remember all of the ways people have been kind to me and the ways I’ve shown kindness to others has helped me to constantly keep things in perspective. There is no room for negativity and hate in my life, and their shouldn’t be in yours either. Pick up a kindness journal for yourself and get started on a happier you. 🙂
I LOVE THIS STUFF. I already raved about it HERE but I wanted to mention it again because I love it so much. I honestly never have really high hopes for brands that I don’t immediately recognize when it comes to hair and makeup but this brand proved me SO wrong. They have really quality products and my hair has never smelled better or looked shinier. I also love the body wash so I can finally stop using my husband’s (I walk around smelling like old spice on the daily). Over all, I feel like my hair and body have gotten a coconut makeover and I step out of the shower feeling like I’ve just been to a tropical spa. So. Win win win for me! ALSO: Right now ULTA has a buy one / get one 50% off of the shampoo and conditioner (which are only $9 to begin with) so hit that up.
I am honestly as surprised as you are. It probably isn’t a secret that I don’t LOVE TooFaced quite as much as I used to – their most recent launches just haven’t really excited me and I’m pretty over the unicorn and candy theme. I was sent this palette to try out by Ulta Beauty and I am SO impressed with the quality of the foils. This by no means is an all encompassing palette but it’s an awesome companion palette and the shade “rich girl” is my all time favorite champagne shimmer now. I keep reaching for the metallic foiled shadows and getting excited every time I open it.
So, my husband will tell you that I’ve never been a purse girl. When we meet years ago, I told him I didn’t like purses because I didn’t want to carry them around and what do you even put in them anyways, yada yada yada. Fast forward to today – I own dozens of purses and use one every day. Some of my purses, however, are on the smaller side and I was having a hard time always transferring my important cards from purse to purse to purse with ease. I’d forget my license in one purse, my credit card in another, I never had my insurance cards. It was a nightmare and that is where this adorable little card holder comes in. I got this for Christmas this year and I have been storing business cards in it but now I use it to easily transport my important cards from one purse to another and it’s a DREAM COME TRUE. Grab a similar one for yourself here.
