Happy Tuesday AND HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! I am SO proud of to be an American (yes — even in light of all the crazy things happening right now) and I couldn’t love my country more. In other news…something new is coming to Blonde & Ambitious Blog…today starts a new posting schedule! From now on, I will be posting something new for you MONDAY- FRIDAY. That’s right. A new post EVERY day. Monday will be video tutorials, Tuesday will be product reviews, Wednesday will be style posts, Thursday will alternate travel and fitness and Friday will be personal and relationship posts. Hooray! I am so excited to be able to bring you MORE of what I love and share my life with you. Now that we have this order of business out of the way, let’s dive into today’s post: June Favorites – Makeup Edition.

I had SO many new products that I loved this past month — and as I was laying them all out, I realized 90% of them are lip products, so you can see what I am loving during the summer. I am ditching the foundation & heavy powders and sticking with a more natural look with lips as the main focus.
This lip gloss is gorgeous and looks like liquid gold. I have been loving pigmented lip glosses. 2016 I was ALL about matte lipstick but this year I am embracing glossy lips. I got tired of the lasting power (aka it’s not long) and decided to go with something that would wear off beautifully. This lipgloss would look beautiful on many skin tones, too. 10/10 would wear every day of my life.
I love this lipstick — it’s like my perfect nude. It’s not too pink, but it also doesn’t wash out my skin. I always am worried I will look like I have not lips where I wear nude lipsticks but this is like my natural color but better. It probably wouldn’t look great on darker skin tones because it wouldn’t be a believable nude, but anyone from light beige to fair would pull it off. 8/10 (just because it is matte so it is drying).
These glosses are fantastic. I’ve been wearing them SO much because they are SO lightweight, glossy and plumping. They really do have an awesome plumping effect — I was pleasantly surprised. The Pink Champagne is perfect when I want a light gloss but not a lot of color, and the Peach Daiquiri has a sheer wash of coral color that brings out my tan. 10/10.
I already loved the white russian color from the gel lipstick, so I knew I’d it already had a few points going for it. It is a matte formula, but it wasn’t drying like typical liquid lipstick. It is super easy to apply and lasted all day long. I didn’t notice any cracking throughout the day and bonus points, it smells like candy. 9/10.
OHMYGOSH. I cannot rave ENOUGH about this liquid lipstick. wowowo. If you watched the video tutorial on my Fourth of July makeup look from yesterday, this was my lipstick of choice. It is the perfect red and it is stunning on. I am obsessed with the chrome finish, it is something I’ve never had in a lipstick before and I’m SO not mad about it. 10/10/10/10/10/10….(I have literally NO complaints about this lipstick).
These are really fun and I love the idea behind them. They are fun combinations and are perfect for the summer. My favorite combo was the Berry Tint/Sweet Gloss because it is nude (and apparently I’m super into that now). I’ve been using the Fresh Gloss by itself because it’s a fun and bright coral, but it looks nice over the beach tint as well. The Pink Tint/Pretty Gloss duo was really cute and it actually reminds me of popsicle stained lips. The stain lasted all day. 8.5/10 — I knocked off a few points because the stain is really hard to get even. Once it’s on it’s great, but it does look streaky if you don’t get it perfect.
These have been fun to work with and apparently the only items in my list that aren’t lip products. I tested these out and really like them. they give my cheeks a flushed and dewy look that is refreshing for summer. The only color I’m not a super fan of is Flushed because it’s a little too dark for what I like to do during june-july-august. I will definitely bring it back out in the fall. The natural look is pretty light, and would look amazing on fair skin tones. It’s a little TOO light for my tanned skin, but would be perfect for spring when I’m not tan yet. Rosy is what I’ve been totally living for. It’s a bright pink, perfect for summer. These get a 8/10 because they are a tiny bit sticky when you apply them and you have to blend them out really quickly or it dries unevenly.

Well, there you have it! Sorry I wasn’t more diverse in my selection — I promise to add more things into my list next month. BUT I did love these products and they are things I’ve been crazy about and using on repeat.
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments below which are your favorite!!
